Journey Pink is the name of my ministry and memoir

Journey Pink is the name of my ministry and memoir that will release in May. Why name it Journey Pink? What is that about?

PINK stands for “Princess In Need of a King.” Ten years ago, I started my journey of healing from sexual abuse. I wore PINK to remind myself that I was a Daughter of the King and that made me a princess whether I felt like it or not. As a daughter of the King, I needed to know that my King was a safe Father who loved me. Keeping those thoughts (I am His Daughter/Princess – He is my Father/King) in balance helped me to fight off the shame that made me feel worthless and unloved. Even now, pink brings a smile to my face – especially a pink sky.

I thought God had taught me a lot about what it truly means to be a Daughter of the King. But recently, as I have walked through some difficulties, He’s shown me even more about how to LIVE as a Daughter of the King. It is one thing to KNOW you are a Daughter of the King, but what does it look like to LIVE as a Daughter of the King? I can’t wait to share this and more with you at the “I am a Daughter of the King” Conference on April 21-22 at Olive Branch Church in Durham.
