Fear has always been my constant companion. It doesn’t take much to trigger fear in me. I’m often afraid of something. In fact when I’m not afraid, I worry about what will happen next and the cycle of fear continues.
When I finally realized why I was so scared and that I didn’t have to live afraid anymore, then fear lost its grip on me.
Fear still visits me more than I’d like to admit, but when it shows up now, I’m armed and ready.
Are you ready to say, #ByeByeFear?

Fight F. E. A. R. by…
F – Fixing your eyes on Jesus (Hebrews 12:2-3)
E – Engaging with safe community (Hebrews 10:23-25)
A – Admitting you’re struggling with fear (Psalm 34:17-18)
R – Releasing it, and replacing it with God’s promises (Psalm 56:3)
Questions for Personal Reflection:
- What fears are holding you back?
- What lies were whispered to you that make you feel unworthy, unloved and insecure?
- Have you given Him full access to your story?
Fear is not from God. “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7 NKJV
God delivers us from fear: I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4
The enemy wants us to live in fear and to shrink back: “But we do not belong to those who shrink back and are destroyed, but to those who have faith and are saved.” Hebrews 10:39
Trust is a process, and Jesus invites us day by day to trust Him: When I am afraid, I put my trust in you. Psalm 56:3 NIV
Continue to build trust in Him by recalling all of the ways He has been faithful. “I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago. I will consider all your works and meditate on all your mighty deeds.” Psalm 77:11-12
Give Him full access to your story: “God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.“ John 4:24 NIV
