Worship and The Secret Place

What does the secret place and intimacy with the Father through personal times of worship mean to you?
Last Sunday at church, I shared my personal experiences with the secret place and intimacy with the Father. In one example, I talked about how worship brought me to my knees to pray a prayer I didn’t think I was ready to pray. I also shared about a time when I knew Jesus loved me – even when the little girl inside of me wasn’t so sure. Another example was when worship led to prayer time on a soccer field with strangers. At the time, it felt like Jesus was showing up for me, but now I realize He was always there.
What is worship like for you?
Have our perceptions of worship been shaped by how we experienced worship growing up or even now? Maybe it seems like worship should look a certain way, sound a certain way, and last a certain amount of time. Or perhaps we are worried about what others will think? But, what if we let go of those perceptions, expectations, and worries and just worship?
I love Psalms 100:2 in The Passion Translation: “Worship Yahweh with gladness. Sing your way into his presence with joy!”
He is faithful. He is there, always.
We can joyfully sing our way into His presence and meet Him in the secret place, anytime, anywhere. Let’s sing our way into His presence with Joy. Click below to watch Worship & The Secret Place.
