In 2012, I walked into Tope Keku’s women’s small group at church and hardly said two words. I wore a mask, put on a smile, and guarded my heart.

I trusted no one.

Especially with my secrets.

But I kept showing up. And little by little I opened up in those small, safe, circles of women who continually pointed me to hope.

Here we are 10 years later, and she’s interviewing me on her podcast. Who knew?
