Body Talk: Introverted or Extroverted?

Are you introverted or extroverted? If you had asked me a few years ago, I would have said I was extroverted. I ran a business and interacted with people constantly. I led a Bible Study and served on committees. I consider myself a people person—surely, I must be extroverted. It turns out I am not extroverted at all.
Not too long ago, I discovered I am introverted, which has been a game changer. Growing up with trauma made me feel like I had to be “on” all the time. My body was constantly dealing with stress, and it became “normal” for me. Constant stress takes a toll on the body.
Body Talk is a series about the impact of trauma on the body. Check out this video about discovering I was introverted and what I do now to help my body rest and relax.
Your body is precious and unique, and trauma harms the body. If you are like me, you may need inspiration and motivation to slow down and care for your body one day at a time. You are not alone – let’s do this together. I am glad you are here!
