The Fog is Lifting and Light is Breaking Through

The stages of grief are like riding an unpredictable emotional roller coaster blindfolded. Anger, shock, sadness, frozen, sobbing. Stomach churning. Literally all the feels.
When I started my journey to heal from sexual abuse back in 2013, I began to feel, maybe for the first time. That is the thing about healing. If you stuff the pain, you also stuff the joy. You hold it all in. But once you start to let it go, all of it floods.
