• to create space & margin in my life 
• to single-task rather than multi-task
• to listen to my body and be gentle with it 
• to take breaks & say no (without guilt) 
• pause before making decisions. (At least 24-48 hours). 
• to be FULLY present. Mind, body & spirit. 
• to truly Let Go & Let God in many areas that I’ve held onto and wanted to control or fix in the past. 
• to be my own advocate 🗣and speak up. (Healthcare & in other areas)
• a lot about healing & helping others heal from trauma & find freedom in Jesus. 📖📚✝️
• I’m excited & nervous about publishing my memoir, Journey Pink! 👑💕

Something I don’t usually share…
Selfies of me crying and sad at a moment when it feels like it’s all falling apart. Bad news. It’s awful. But, here I am crying - fresh photos of my tears from 2022.
I started taking them back in 2013 when I went to counseling (and started crying often). 
I still take them. 
I take the picture to remind myself it didn’t stay that way. New day, new mercies. Tears are ok. Being sad is okay. It’s okay to cry. 
Crying, prayer, worship, reaching out to a friend, walking the dog, seeing a counselor helps to shift my perspective. It’s going to be okay. 
“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”

Do it afraid. 
I’ve always struggled with fear. I’m afraid of much. Even fun stuff. Once in a lifetime stuff… like snorkeling in an #bossunderwateradventure in the Honduras. 
The water was up to my chin and I thought it might keep rising… or maybe the rope would get cut and I’d sink to the bottom of the ocean. What if…. What if…. 
BUT 
It was amazing and wonderful and I would do it again (less afraid hopefully). 
“Do it afraid” to me means I tell myself - “yep, it’s scary. I get that any fear brings up old fears attached to trauma - but it’s going to be okay. I’m safe. Let’s go!”

My body started talking and I’m listening. These are just a few of the body-focused activities I’m doing now after ignoring/avoiding my body for years. I’m learning a lot and paying attention. I’m listening.
