Happy Friday! I wanted to do a #Fridayintroduction for those who may be new here. My name is Michelle Viscuse and my passion is to help women and teens overcome their past and live fully loved as a daughter of the King.

As a survivor of childhood sexual abuse, my past was filled with lies, trauma and shame. Jesus gave me courage, hope and freedom and He can do the same for you. Next Thursday is our first @journeypinkteens gathering and the topic is fear. We are going to talk about what we are afraid of and what it means to be brave and have courage. I bought this shirt for $9 at @mysecretclosethills thrift store and I love it because it says Courage & Strength. (& it’s pink) Yes, I’m scared and it helps me to wear a pink shirt with the word “courage” on it because it reminds me that I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. Even if (and especially when) I’m afraid. To me, that’s courage - doing it afraid.
So, Durham teen girls - join me, Thursday - December 9 at 5:30pm at my house. Feel free to bring a friend. I’m making pumpkin pie with whipped cream for you. When I start my day with worship, everything changes. My mindset, my attitude - worship grounds me when when the ground feels shaky. It centers me when I feel overwhelmed. Some days it prepared me before I even knew I needed to be prepared.
